I have Been Elected to represent you, as your Student Union Council Chair for 2026/27, here is my manifesto:

I am standing for Student Council Chair at Wrexham University to ensure that our Council is active, accountable, and truly representative of every student.

The Student Council exists to represent student views, campaign on key issues, shape policy, and work with University committees, local officers, and—where applicable—the National Union of Students. As Chair, I will not only be a member of this Council but a leader who ensures these responsibilities are carried out effectively and professionally.

My first commitment is to chair meetings in full accordance with the Articles of Association, Bye-Laws, and Students’ Union policies. Meetings will be well-structured, transparent, and focused on outcomes. Every representative will have an equal opportunity to speak, propose ideas, and challenge constructively.

I will ensure that decisions are not just discussed but implemented. Motions passed must lead to action. Clear agendas, recorded minutes, and follow-ups will strengthen accountability.

I will work closely with the Students’ Union President and Vice President to ensure Council members are supported and fully engaged in their specific roles. Where applicable, I will encourage strong liaison with NUS, university committees, and external stakeholders to strengthen our collective voice.

Importantly, while I will remain impartial as Chair, I will exercise my voting rights responsibly—using a casting vote only when necessary and always in the best interests of students.

Leadership requires integrity, organisation, and respect for democratic process.

Vote for a Chair who will lead with fairness, uphold our governing rules, and ensure that every student voice counts.
