I have Been Elected to represent you, as your Student Union International Officer for 2026/27, here is my manifesto:

Hi, my name is Alli Adeyanju Solomon and I am running for Postgraduate Officer to make sure our voices are heard, valued, and supported at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.

I know how stressful postgraduate life can be for international students - from visa delays, late access to CAS and the portal, to accommodation challenges and long commutes. I want to turn these experiences into solutions for you.

I have experience in teaching, customer service, and hospitality, which has taught me to listen carefully, respond quickly, solve problems, and work with teams. These skills make me approachable, dependable, and ready to support postgraduate students effectively. I want to make sure that there is a system in place that will continue to benefit all current and prospective postgraduate students even after we have graduated.

If elected, I aim to:

• Streamline International Student Support: Lobby for timely CAS/portal access and prevent repeated errors with fees and enrolment.
• Improve Accommodation & Campus Accessibility: Advocate for affordable housing within the school area, support for commuters, and share practical solutions.
• Create a Postgraduate Support Network: Set up dedicated forums, info sessions, and channels to quickly share guidance and help new postgraduates.

These steps will make postgraduate life fairer, less stressful, and more connected.
