What is the
“international Students Society?”

 

A group specifically created for International students at Wrexham University!
Open to all students of WU, but with emphasis on creating a safe place where international students can come together with each other for support and the sharing of cultures.
Cultural/heritage events, celebrations, social mixers, and more!
Improve your student experience and that of your peers
Achieve a sense of belonging and celebrate diversity while getting familiar with life in the UK
 
 
How you can get involved:
 
    •Join the Society officially using the link above ("Join This Group") to become a general member- you can attend events, help generate new ideas for Society activity and be part of planning them, and vote in Society elections.
Become a member of the Society's core committee!
Roles available: President, Secretary, Treasurer
Join the auxiliary committee!
Flexible roles, for example:
Social Media coordinator
Events coordinator
National Representative (India, Nigeria, Germany, Pakistan, France, Switzerland, Ghana, China, etc…)
Fundraise (through events, activities, etc…)

•Q: Is it mandatory to join?
•A: No, this is completely voluntary but we hope you want to be part of something new and fun!
•Q: Do I have to pay to join?
•A: No, all of Wrexham Students' Union's Societies are completely FREE for students :)
•Q: Is there any financial benefit to me for joining?
•A: As this is voluntary, you will not receive payment for being involved in the Society. However, there are funds available from the Students' Union which are accessible to the Society in order to fund events, activities, trips, guest speaker visits, etc...
•You will be able to learn new skills and develop yourself in a way that improves your employability after graduation and adds to your university experience
